Shri Nand Lal Passi, a retired SSP Officer is enjoying his retirement with their children and grand children. He is always worried about his daughter in law who was spending most of her time with other ngos working on mentally & retarded children.
Knowing her background and perfection of her field which she was devoting working on these children in various schools, so being principal of moral values, he wanted to contribute her in social activities for the needy ones.
He proudly accepted her request and started supporting in fulfilling her dreams and allowed them to start her own NGO.
Working and devoting his life in government sector he also wanted to work for some noble cause. But due to his service he was'nt able to do so. So, after listening to the views and positive strenght of his daughter-in-law,He granted the permission, also provided the infrastructure with the proper guidance and allowed them to begin their journey.
With all the blessings he supported them and established the “Lakshay Vocational Training & Education Society for Mentally Disabled/Handicapped Children”, which was conceived and promoted in 1995, aand started functioning as "Lakshay Special School" in 2002.
With all due respect we all are very thankful to him that he supported and accepted the proposal of his children, who are still working from their soul, just to make him proud.
Lakshay was started by the person who was inspired by her mother. As she was born in the lower society and bought up in between those people who are dependent on other people i.e. Handicap Children and she is Mrs. Chanchal. Prepared herself to view these children into the different vision and she named them Special Children.
As there is something in these children which makes them special from other ones, so she decided her aim to work on these children so that to make them self-reliable and self-dependent.
Then with the positive thought and support of her husband and father-in-law, she took a step foward and started her journey with LAKSHAY SPECIAL SCHOOL, which operated by “Lakshay Vocational Training & Education Society for Mentally Disabled/Handicapped Children”, which was conceived and promoted in 1995, and finally started functioning in 2002.
